Are you a network engineer who thrives on solving complex issues and building resilient infrastructure? Our client - a global multi-asset investment firm - is expanding its EMEA tech team and hiring into their enterprise support function. You’ll focus on high-level (3rd/4th line) support across offices, data centres, and cloud integrations - working closely with senior engineers and US counterparts to support a mission-critical network environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to deepen your expertise, work with next-gen tooling, and build towards senior engineering or network architecture tracks within a high-performance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 3rd and 4th line support across a complex global network infrastructure spanning office, data centre, and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve escalated networking issues from support teams, with a focus on performance and uptime.
- Support, maintain and configure Cisco and Meraki networking gear across switches, routers, and wireless systems.
- Manage Palo Alto firewalls, including monitoring, change control, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with SD-WAN deployments and hybrid network integration (Silver Peak, Aruba or equivalent).
- Participate in DR testing, scheduled maintenance events, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of network topologies, procedures, and incident records.
- Coordinate with global infrastructure teams and vendors on issue resolution and service improvements.
- Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support as needed.
What You Bring...
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or infrastructure support roles.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS and DHCP.
- Experience supporting Cisco and/or Meraki-based infrastructure in a production environment.
- Proficiency with Palo Alto firewalls and related security technologies.
- Knowledge of network automation tools or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ansible).
- Familiarity with Windows Server and/or Linux systems from a network troubleshooting perspective.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure networking principles.
- (Preferred) Exposure to SD-WAN solutions (e.g. Silver Peak, Aruba).
- (Preferred) Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+.
