Senior Data Technology Consultant

As a Senior Data Technology Consultant within our successful Business Consulting practice, you will work alongside a collaborative team of consulting colleagues to support our clients, focusing on driving their business outcomes through data and technology. You will also contribute to the growth of our evolving business consulting function.

A key focus of the role is to deliver practical advice to clients regarding their enterprise data technologies and strategies, while identifying opportunities to leverage our wider skillsets, propositions, and IP. You will collaborate across the Business Consulting and Technology Advisory Practice to promote CGI services at scale across the UK. This is a Senior Consultant role, and you will be responsible for shaping, managing, and delivering consultative engagements with clients, forming part of a revenue-generating team.

Your future duties include:

• Leading and delivering large-scale strategic data technology projects to help clients navigate complex data transformations.
• Providing high-quality consulting services, translating technical concepts into accessible language.
• Leveraging deep understanding of legacy and cloud-based data technologies, including Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse concepts.
• Bringing broad technical knowledge of Azure data products, with expertise in areas like Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric, ideally holding relevant Azure certifications.
• Driving efficiencies across the data lifecycle, advising on critical data handling considerations.
• Supporting the growth and development of the business consulting team.
• Building strong stakeholder relationships within large organizations and on the consultancy side.
• Using data modelling experience to optimize data architectures and improve data flow.

Required qualifications include:

• Advising on architecture solutions and design.
• Experience owning Data solutions on hyperscalers like Azure (AWS or GCP are desirable).
• Owning parts of high-quality client deliverables or solutions.
• Leading client meetings, interviews, and workshops.
• Supporting complex transformation projects.
• Experience in Solution Architecture ownership.
• Developing Data and AI Strategic Roadmaps.
• Data Cataloguing, Governance, and Workflow Optimization.
• Defining and building Business Insight Solutions.
