Ice Rink Canary Wharf is returning to London this winter, returning as a winter staple to London's iconic Canary Wharf. We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join the team and support the Marketing & Events Director throughout the season on a part-time basis (3 days a week, with some evening and weekend work required outside of normal hours) from September 2025 - February 2026.
We'd love to hear from highly organized self-starters who are capable of working cross-functionally on the planning and execution of Marketing & Event outputs. The ideal candidate will enjoy ice-skating and be able to work with both the senior leadership team, as well as working with the rink staff and often customer facing when at the rink. The role would suit someone working in marketing/social marketing looking for a varied contract/freelance role, or perhaps a graduate looking to develop in media & events roles looking for a well-rounded experience to get their teeth into for six months. Responsibilities- Assisting in implementing marketing campaigns (encouraged to bring ideas to the table)
- Attending client, sponsor and partner meetings regarding events and assisting Marketing & Events Director with various business needs and roll-outs.
- Filming content/editing reels for ice rink social channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)
- Working with marketing partners at the rink and being friendly with customers
- Assisting with other events (clients, corporate and customer events - occasional evenings and weekends)
- Managing administrative duties
- Supporting our third party marketing suppliers at the rink (skating/with grippers on ice)
- Assistance on Themed nights and occasionally taking ownership on the event nights.
- Assisting the ice rink Management/Customer Services team at the rink (when quiet)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent would be preferred but not essential!
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- A Keen design eye for video and static content (proficient in Canva especially preferred)
- Confident in working remotely but prepared to spend most of the time at the rink working from the management office.
