The Pension Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support for the organisation’s SIPP product. This role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and serving as a point of contact for customer inquiries. The specialist will work closely with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth pension operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer support by responding to inquiries about our SIPP product, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Assist the customer care team in resolving complex pension-related issues.
  • Liaise with third-party custodians to address individual and general queries, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Review transfer and withdrawal requests, monitor progress, maintain detailed records of all communications, and follow up on outstanding queries.
  • Collate data for internal and external stakeholders for reporting purposes.

Skills we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above.
  • Skilled communicator.
  • Previous experience working in a pensions administrative role is essential.
  • FA2 desirable but not required; this could be supported within the role.

  • Comfortable working in an office environment, with a good level of Microsoft Office knowledge and an ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Strong organisational skills – multi-tasking and prioritising workload are paramount.

What you’ll get from us:

  • £25,000 - £27,000 dependent on skills and experience.
  • 24 days holiday a year – plus bank holidays (you can earn an extra day’s holiday for each full year you are with us, capped at 28 days).
  • Flexible working hours 37.5 hours a week between 8am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • Hybrid role with a minimum of one day a week in office; also face-to-face team meetings once a month.

All first stage interviews will be carried out via teams; if successful, 2nd stage interviews will be carried out in our offices in Penarth.
