Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Risk Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is part of the Financial Institutions Credit Risk team, which is responsible for managing and analysing the Bank's activities in its Global Markets business areas. The role is focussed on a portfolio of predominately Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) such as hedge funds, and depending on experience will also include bank counterparties.

What you'll do:

  • Manage counterparty risk, including conducting detailed credit analysis and formulating credit proposals.
  • Provide valuable input on the credit terms of legal documentation.
  • Undertake risk analysis on new and existing transactions.
  • Monitor the credit worthiness of a portfolio of counterparties.
  • Support senior management in overseeing relevant projects.

What you bring:

  • Significant experience in writing credit applications and analysing NBFIs within the credit risk department of a Financial Institution.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles to analyse financial strengths and weaknesses of clients.
  • Strong understanding of derivative products and ability to identify product-specific related risks.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with Front Office providing credit support to Deal Teams and Sales Teams.
  • Experience engaging with clients to discuss business models, trading activity and related credit risks.
  • Conceptual knowledge of credit procedures, policies and standards.
