Your Role Accountabilities:
- Writing scripts and editing video for all digital platforms
- Monitoring breaking news and search/social trends
- Gathering editorial information through research and interviews
- Brainstorming and regularly pitching story ideas
- Experimenting with video formats to reach new audiences
- Publishing on client platforms and social networks
- Assigning video stories and reviewing scripts/edits
- Collaborating with colleagues and bureaus around the world
Qualifications & Experience:
- 1+ years of working at a media outlet, or equivalent experience
- Experience fact-checking stories and conducting interviews
- Passion for breaking news and current events
- Highly skilled with post-production software Adobe Premiere
- Portfolio of producing or overseeing creative video storytelling in 16:9 and vertical formats
- Track record of collaborating in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, overnights and extended hours as the news cycle and deadlines require
- Foreign language skills a plus
