You will need a proven history of delivering strategies and persuading clients of those strategies.

What you will do:

  • Lead the strategic output on smaller clients, and support planning directors on bigger clients
  • Take, probe and respond to business-as-usual briefs and bigger campaign briefs
  • Craft insight-led creative briefs
  • Develop value propositions and segmented messaging frameworks
  • Develop briefs to inspire exciting and culturally relevant content
  • Improve the work throughout the creative process, backed by insight
  • Keep on top of the latest marketing science and theory
  • Be able to brief partner agencies/disciplines
  • Develop testing plans and measurement frameworks
  • Effectiveness analysis and data-informed recommendations
  • Earn the trust of mid-level clients

What you will need to succeed:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with some experience in public sector marketing
  • Strong core skills – journey planning, segmentation, messaging platforms, propositions
  • Experience of applying behavioural science to behaviour change strategies and working with effectiveness methodologies
  • Be a good judge of creative, and developing creative propositions that are motivating for the audience and fruitful for creatives
  • Experience of developing communications frameworks, and integrating media thinking
  • Finger on the pulse of social and digital channel developments and technology innovations
  • Able to identify inspiring insights to inform a convincing strategy, synthesising complex information into a persuasive ‘story’ for clients
  • Strong presentation skills and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, CS and creative leaders
  • Good facilitation skills with clients and agency partners to achieve positive outcomes
  • The ability to react quickly to, and overcome, challenges during the planning and creative process
  • Substantive, authoritative and credible with high levels of emotional intelligence
  • Passionate about communications and enjoy collaboration
