The Development Chef will be responsible for continuously enhancing the food offer within ISS Food Services, driving innovation and ensuring our culinary concepts remain relevant to business needs.
This role will play a key part in the mobilisation of new contracts, crafting and refining food concepts that align with our growth strategy. In addition to menu development, the Development Chef will provide craft training, inspiring and upskilling teams to maintain excellence in food service delivery. By staying ahead of industry trends and customer expectations, this role will help shape the future of ISS Food Services, ensuring we deliver high-quality, creative, and commercially successful food experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Understand, develop and implement current food trends and ideas into the business
- Identify areas of craft development, and implement any training required
- Develop a culture of sharing best practice and elevating the food standards of ISS Food Services
- Ensure that nominated suppliers are being used to provide the relevant supplies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures in relation to food safety, operations management, recruitment
- Evaluate proposed and required changes to services identifying financial, personnel and operational performance implications prior to confirmation and implementation of service changes
- Senior chef experience
- Drives results with the ability to coach and mentor chefs and their skills, supporting development of capability levels and succession planning
- 7061/7062 or equivalent qualifications in food preparation and production
- Minimum of Level 3 food hygiene or equivalent
- Passion for food and service
- Strong communication skills
- Commercial understanding supported by proven track record
- Experience in the involvement of tendering for new business
