We’re excited to be recruiting for a Product Development Executive in a well-established, design-led furniture business that supplies interiors for residential, student, and large-scale property projects across the UK.
This is a 14-month fixed-term contract with a strong possibility of becoming permanent . As the sales function continues to scale, the business anticipates growth in the Product Team, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves in a creative and commercial product role.
You’ll report directly to the Product Buyer and work closely with both the design and project teams to support the development of tailored furniture ranges, manage suppliers, and help shape the product strategy during an exciting period of change and growth.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Product Development
- Support the delivery of furniture ranges for projects and manage substitutions when needed.
- Assist with costing, supplier quotes, and negotiation of volume pricing.
- Gather and maintain product data – including specs, attributes, costs, currency, and freight information.
- Develop and communicate project critical paths and liaise with internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the product strategy and create sales team training materials and spec sheets.
- Manage swatch/sample organisation and distribution.
Supplier Management
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth communication and operations.
- Assist with onboarding new vendors, ordering samples, and collecting relevant data.
- Monitor and manage supplier timelines to ensure all key milestones are met.
Team Collaboration
- Support improvements to systems, policies, and internal processes.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Buying, and Design teams to meet project and product requirements.
- Help guide and inform internal teams about new products and relevant updates.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in working with or managing suppliers – ideally within the furniture or interiors industry.
- Meticulous attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities with ease.
- Curious, proactive, and confident in identifying solutions and driving outcomes.
- Self-organised, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality work on time.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or product management systems is advantageous.
This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a collaborative, growing team. You’ll gain exposure to product strategy, supplier management, and design-led project work – and there’s genuine potential for the role to extend beyond the initial contract.
