Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. We are partnering on this search with our client, a long-established and successful quantitative hedge fund based in the heart of London. With a highly technical and automation-focused environment, this is a unique opportunity to join a small team where your impact will be significant in shaping the future of the infrastructure environment.
This role is ideal for infrastructure engineers who enjoy ownership, want to shape an evolving IT landscape, and thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced trading environment. You’ll work directly with senior leadership and technical peers in a collaborative, no-silos culture where your ideas and contributions will be taken seriously.
The role will involve:
- Taking ownership of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Intune
- Managing both on-prem and cloud-based directory services (Active Directory and Entra ID)
- Providing high-quality IT support to a small team (~20 users), including traders and quants
- Driving automation through PowerShell scripting and other tools
- Managing the firm’s Azure environment and contributing to infrastructure-as-code projects using Terraform
- Supporting Windows desktop and server environments in a highly available setting
- Liaising with external vendors and service providers
- Playing a key role in incident response, resolution, and documentation
Desired Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in IT support or infrastructure, preferably in finance or professional services
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 and related administration
- Deep understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD/Entra ID
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and system administration
- Proven ability to manage Windows-based endpoints and troubleshoot complex issues
- Hands-on experience with Azure and familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Strong communication skills – able to liaise confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
