Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Quantitative Hedge Fund£650 per day Contract – Outside of IR35Full-Time, Office-Based – City of LondonPlease make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. We are partnering on this search with our client, a long-established and successful quantitative hedge fund based in the heart of London. You’ll work directly with senior leadership and technical peers in a collaborative, no-silos culture where your ideas and contributions will be taken seriously.The role will involve:• Taking ownership of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Intune• Managing both on-prem and cloud-based directory services (Active Directory and Entra ID)• Providing high-quality IT support to a small team (~20 users), including traders and quants• Driving automation through PowerShell scripting and other tools• Managing the firm’s Azure environment and contributing to infrastructure-as-code projects using Terraform• Supporting Windows desktop and server environments in a highly available setting• Liaising with external vendors and service providers• Playing a key role in incident response, resolution, and documentationDesired Experience• 5+ years’ experience in IT support or infrastructure, preferably in finance or professional services• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 and related administration• Deep understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD/Entra ID• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and system administration• Proven ability to manage Windows-based endpoints and troubleshoot complex issues• Hands-on experience with Azure and familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and proactively• Strong communication skills – able to liaise confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersThe Environment:Think high trust, low bureaucracy.
