We have a fantastic opportunity for a Manager Designate to join our team in London, where you will have the opportunity to grow and develop within a professional working environment. The role will involve providing managerial cover throughout our network of clinics in London, with a view to becoming a Full-Time Clinic Manager of your own clinic.
You will provide inspirational leadership to our clinic teams, including Patient advisors and Optometrists, to ensure they exceed business targets and provide the highest possible quality service to our patients.
Candidates will come with a background in the Optical or healthcare industry, and are looking to progress their career into a management role. The job will be hands on, carrying out consultations with our patients and advising of the benefits of receiving laser surgery, as well as day-to-day clinic management, target setting and being actively involved in recruitment and training of new staff.
Job Role:
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer care within our clinics.
- Strive to meet and exceed the expectations of our patients.
- Ensure that the patient journey is smooth and efficient and that all patients receive a high level of customer service.
- Providing support and direction to the team to enhance performance, skills and treatment/product knowledge.
- Minimise the occurrence of customer complaints, resolving any complaints quickly, efficiently, and professionally to retain customer loyalty.
- Be aware of and responsible for compliance with the CQC regulations and update procedures as necessary.
- Take responsibility for staff mentoring and development, to ensure all staff are fully trained and motivated.
- Responsible for maintaining morale and leading by example in accordance with good management practice.
- Effective team rostering, ensuring we have the right people in the right place at the right time.
- P&L management, taking every opportunity to minimize costs and maximise revenue.
- Ensuring audit, policies, procedures and medical governance standards are always met.
Skills required:
- Experience of working within a target driven and fast paced environment.
- People management skills, capable of building and leading high performing teams, highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Drive, determination and ability to overcome ambiguity and the daily challenges of ‘management’.
- A good understanding of statutory policies such as HR and Health and Safety. Experience of CQC policies and procedures is a distinct advantage.
- Genuine desire to work in the Optical Industry.
- Experience of working to sales targets and be happy to get involved with promotional activity.
- You should be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
