We are recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about financial control, enjoys working with data, and thrives in a collaborative environment with an eagerness to learn. You will play a key role in maintaining a robust financial framework and supporting the Asset Management division with accurate and timely financial insights.
The ideal applicant should be working towards achieving an accounting qualification. L&G will provide study support for you to complete an accounting qualification as part of this role.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reconciling cash positions between internal systems and external custodians
- Calculating daily liquidity to support trading decisions
- Reconciling trades on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Posting journals in the financial reporting system
- Maintaining and improving financial controls and documentation
- Updating monthly management information schedules
- Supporting process improvements and contributing to project work
- Managing internal and external queries through the team mailbox
Who we’re looking for:
- Studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with significant on-the-job accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including double-entry and accruals
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with a willingness to learn new systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A collaborative team player who shares knowledge and supports others
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, especially at month-end
- High level of motivation and a proactive approach to learning and development
- Strong numeracy skills and confidence working with financial data
