Flat Roof Technician Location: Ipswich, Suffolk Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive + Training + Benefits We are currently working with a market-leading manufacturer within the construction sector to recruit a Design Technician to join their busy and fast-paced technical department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded individual to play a pivotal role in supporting specification, survey, and design work for high-performance flat roof waterproofing systems. Reporting to the Head of Technical, this role provides a varied workload including the analysis of technical specifications, roof survey reports, and material suitability. Comprehensive training will be provided on areas such as: Drainage design to determine outlet requirements Thermal performance assessments CAD drawing production for detail designs Assess compatibility and suitability of waterproofing system proposals Review and interpret roof survey reports and construction documents Create and verify thermal, wind uplift, and drainage calculations Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant building regulations and codes of practice Provide telephone support and general technical assistance to stakeholders Construction, architectural, or technical design background (flat roofing experience highly beneficial) Computer literate; CAD experience advantageous but not essential Understanding of building fabric, codes of practice, and relevant UK regulations (e.g.
