On an exclusive basis, Greenwell Gleeson is seeking a Part-Time / Fractional Finance Director to support a niche construction enterprise. The enterprise has been trading for many years, but growth has stalled in the last 3/4 years. A new MD has been brought in just over 12 months ago with the mandate to drive profitable sustained growth.
After taking time to assess the enterprise's strengths and challenges, the MD has highlighted a need for a part-time finance executive to support a review and transformation of the finance function. Success has been defined to include the following:
- Review the current state of the finance function, including the aptitudes of the current staff, existing processes and controls, and the timeliness, quality, and relevance of its outputs.
- Amend processes and controls where required.
- Review existing CRM/Accounting software with the expectation that a new CRM system will be required. If agreed, the interim will also support the enterprise in implementing a new system.
- Work with the MD to agree on the dashboard and reports required going forward. Automate processes to ensure their timely provision.
At present, it is envisaged that all of the above can be achieved on the basis of 2 days a week for a period of 3 months.
