The predicted salary is between 52000 - 78000 £ per year.
25 per hour; plus 10% increase for mid shift & 17% increase for night shift; any overtime, when available, is paid at 1.5 rate.
Hours: Full time; Rotating shift pattern, 2 weeks on each:
- Day shift 07:00 - 15:30 (Mon - Thurs), 07:00-14:30 (Fri)
- Mid shift 15:00 - 23:30 (Mon - Thurs), 14:00 - 22:30 (Fri)
- Night shift 22:30 - 07:00 (Sun - Thurs)
Your role: Due to continued business growth, our client has an exciting opportunity to join a successful growing team at their Mallusk site to become a fully skilled operative within the metal industry. We are looking for Galvanisers for an immediate start. All training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate reaches the highest level of performance.
Responsibilities include:
- Tending equipment to coat iron steel products with corrosion-resistant metal
- Suspending metal objects, like pails, shelving, nuts bolts and structural steel from conveyor hooks or placing them in wire baskets
- Immersing objects in chemical solution to clean surface of scale foreign matter
- Lowering objects into tanks to protect surfaces and facilitate coating
- Dipping objects into tank of molten metal to coat objects, using hoist or conveyor
- Removing objects from tanks after specified time
- Smoothing coating, inspecting objects for even and complete coating, returning defective objects for reprocessing
- Manual lifting
- General production and housekeeping
- Health & Safety compliance
You will have:
- Willingness to learn and upskill
- Full flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern of days, afternoons, and night shifts as required
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet product deadlines
- Highly motivated, eager to learn and a team player
- A minimum of 6 months relevant experience with a production, manufacturing, galvanising, or metal finishing role within an industrial environment is desirable
