Join the City & Neighbourhood Services team, helping to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces across the city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and dispose of household, commercial, and recyclable waste
- Clean streets, parks, and other public areas
- Carry out gardening and grounds maintenance tasks
- Remove graffiti, litter, and fly posters
- Assist with gritting, snow clearance, and seasonal duties
- Operate tools, machinery, and safety equipment
- Complete reports and record incidents or faults
- Engage with the public and promote recycling initiatives
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 1 years relevant experience in dealing with members of the public
- Awareness of health and safety, PPE use, or safe machinery handling
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritise tasks
- Basic written communication skills for form completion and reporting
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
