Some of your key responsibilities will include:Carry out examinations that are associated with refractive surgery, cataract, and medical retina procedures.Run acute and follow up clinics postsurgery for patients documenting findings in the electronic medical record systems.Provide health advice and support to patients attending the hospital.Provide first line clinical advice to patients and follow the appropriate means of referral to a medical practitioner if necessary.Ensure awareness of the uses, safety precautions and handling of equipment within the clinical competency framework.Ensure awareness of CQC policies and updates, attending all mandatory update coursesWhat You’ll NeedCurrent GOC registration as a fully qualified optometristExtensive experience working as an optometrist in a refractive, high street or hospital environmentExperience of using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systemsExperience of working to conversion targets and other KPIs within Vision CorrectionIf this sounds like you, please get in touch with us by applying for the role.You’ll see and feel the Optegra difference when you walk through the door – and you’ll have every opportunity to really make a difference.
