Job Description
- Lead the strategic sourcing for the Social Care department.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with Public Sector regulations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure procurement goals align with department objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Provide expert advice on procurement and supply chain matters.
- Drive savings initiatives within the Social Care procurement category.
The Successful Applicant
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Business, or a related field.
- You MUST have experience in a procurement role within the Public Sector.
- Proven track record of strategic sourcing and managing supplier relationships.
- Excellent knowledge of procurement regulations in the Public Sector.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
- A solution-focused approach with the ability to drive improvements.
- Ideally, you will have Local Authority experience as well as experience of managing procurement projects which are subject to Public Contract Regulations as a "must have".
- Candidates would also need to be available to start in September.
- Experience of working with Health and Social Care contracts is preferable but not essential.
