Our client is a global service company within the automotive industry, seeking an IT Cloud & Hosting Service Analyst to join their team to ensure the success and integrity of their transformation project. This is a hybrid role within their IT infrastructure team, responsible for managing and optimising cloud-based services and hosting environments. The role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the organisation’s cloud infrastructure while supporting various stakeholders in leveraging cloud technologies efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Uphold the functionality of tools for cloud provisioning, monitoring, and support (e.g. Terraform, Splunk, Github, Moogsoft) and manage the cloud environment with strategic partners.
  • Service optimisation, identifying opportunities for optimisation, cost-efficiency, and performance enhancement.
  • Implement and enforce security measures, compliance standards, and best practices to safeguard data and applications within the cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities, remediate possible breaches, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams or clients utilising cloud services effectively and respond to incidents related to cloud infrastructure and hosting environments.
  • Oversee the implementation of approved change requests in the cloud environment.
  • Performance monitoring and analysis to identify trends, forecast capacity needs, and pre-emptively address potential issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of cloud configurations, processes, and procedures, generating reports on system performance, usage, and cost metrics for management review.
  • Provide effective and responsive operational IT service to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and peers to ensure the stable operation of the global cloud hosting environment.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in global cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Co-location Datacentre settings.
  • Experience managing vendors and business units regarding cloud & hosting services.
  • Experience with successfully executing ‘migration to cloud’ and datacentre consolidation programs.
  • Adept at engaging, building relationships, and influencing senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes, ideally possession of an ITIL, Lean IT, and/or DevOps accreditation.
  • Proficient in managing and administering cloud environment management tools such as Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, AWS Control Tower, and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and best practices with cloud environments.
