The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Site management and supervision of allocated contracts to ensure that principles of safety, quality, performance, and profitability are maintained at all times. Responsible for managing the site, including efficient management of all labour, plant, equipment, materials, logistics, movements, interfaces, risks, and opportunities.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining all JCA quality control processes on the project and providing feedback where necessary. Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory legislation, industry standard guidelines, employers' requirements, and any other JCA standard policies and procedures.

Responsible for identifying risks to health, safety, quality, and the environment and engaging with other stakeholders to ensure that adequate risk management is maintained at all times. Ensure that all safe systems of work are fully implemented at all times. Ensure that reporting documentation is generated and maintained in accordance with contract requirements and JCA policies.

Main Duties:

  • Attend site meetings as directed by the Contract Manager.
  • Liaise with other stakeholders during meetings and provide evidence-based site progress reports including photos, 2-week look ahead, issues log, and risks register.
  • Undertake take offs, material selection, and order materials in accordance with the JCA set procedures.
  • Ensure correct storage of materials and that site stock is maintained to allow daily operations.
  • Review site reports, designs, and drawings and provide practical feedback on installation methods and improvements in line with best practice.
  • Liaise with the site team to identify site challenges and implement systems to resolve them.
  • Use construction company issued software/hardware applications to record progress, snagging, diaries, and checklists.
  • Manage and understand the contract programme and produce short term/medium term updates as required.
  • Report on overall operation of their programme, labour, opportunities, health and safety, and any other matters that may arise in contract reports and to the business as required.
  • Responsibility for the subcontractor site-based project documentation, items such as RAMS, permits, and void closures.
  • Meet with subcontractors on site progress, resource allocation, and health safety performance.
  • Provide motivation and leadership to the workforce throughout the project.
  • Responsible for site welfare, ensuring it is effectively managed and clean at all times in accordance with all statutory and company requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and update a daily site diary with full information on activities, staff, conditions, operations, etc.
  • Responsibility for creating and maintaining site equipment and registers.
  • Responsibility for managing site materials including security and appropriate storage.
  • Responsibility for the general security of the site, including access, security gates, and securing perimeter at the end of shift.
  • Responsibility for HSE audits (Checklists) and ensuring any actions are closed out in accordance with company procedures.
  • Undertake site inductions for all staff and record required documentation.
  • Undertake daily briefings, tool-box talks, and record as required.
  • Operate and maintain snag lists as required and liaise with the supply chain to close out and record closed out.

What we are looking for:

  • Must have qualifications or be able to demonstrate suitable knowledge and experience.
  • Construction and/or Engineering Qualification NVQ Level 3 or greater.
  • CITB SSSTS certificate holder (or approved equivalent).
  • IOSH Supervising Safely.
  • CSCS card holder relevant to role.
  • First aid at work.
  • Can demonstrate supervision of projects of a comparable size, value, and in a comparable industry or market sector.
  • Can demonstrate leadership and management style in keeping with JCA's brand image.
  • Knowledge of the construction and engineering industry's statutory requirements, methods, and processes.
  • Driving licence holder.
