GP Practice Manager Location: Kensington Job Type: Full-time, On Site Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per annum, plus performance-related bonuses Benefits: Paid overtime for additional hours worked beyond contracted hours Contributory company pension scheme Pension Discounted food and refreshments on site Supportive, friendly team environment About the Practice Our client is an established private GP practice in Kensington that provides personalised, high-quality healthcare to families, local residents, businesses, and international patients. Role Overview As Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth running of a busy, three-doctor private GP practice. You will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the practice, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Practice Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, including clinic scheduling, appointment bookings, and supervising two practice administrators. CQC & Clinical Governance: Lead on all aspects of CQC compliance, clinical governance, and quality assurance, ensuring the practice meets and exceeds regulatory standards. Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the administrative team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment. Reception & Administration: Undertake front-of-house duties as required, including answering phones, handling billing and payments, managing correspondence, and responding to emails. HR & Payroll: Manage HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and payroll administration. Financial Management: Prepare monthly and annual accounts, manage banking, and liaise with the accountant for end-of-year financial reporting. Knowledge of accounting software for profit and loss and payroll is essential. IT & Systems: Maintain and develop IT systems to enhance efficiency and service delivery; ensure data security and compliance with GDPR. Patient Experience: Ensure all patients receive a warm, professional, and seamless experience from first contact to follow-up. Candidate Profile Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Practice Manager in a private GP (essential) , with demonstrable experience in CQC management and compliance. Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities High level of IT proficiency, with experience in practice management software Sound financial acumen, with experience using accounting software for profit and loss and payroll Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Calm, proactive, and solutions-focused approach Attention to detail and ability to work independently • • Desirable: Experience in accounting, HR, and payroll is preferred.
