We're working with a major international financial institution to find a talented Markets Analyst (VP) to join their Front Office Risk team. This role sits within the 1st Line of Defence and focuses on market risk across asset classes, supporting trading activities and capital optimization strategies.
What You'll Do
- Identify key market risks across trading portfolios, analyze data, and communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor product performance across asset classes, track market trends, and develop forward-looking risk views.
- Understand and apply the firm's risk appetite, capital framework, and risk limits to optimize risk allocation.
- Build a comprehensive understanding of capital attributions such as VaR and stress losses.
- Support business leaders in analyzing return on capital and risk appetite ratios.
- Collaborate with independent risk teams to define and monitor risk limits.
- Enhance risk governance processes and assist with regulatory inquiries.
- Partner with tech and analytics teams to develop risk monitoring tools and propose optimization strategies.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in trading, structuring, research, or quantitative/data analysis with a focus on market risk.
- Strong knowledge of fixed income and equity markets; cross-asset experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Tableau; programming skills (Python, SQL) are a strong advantage.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
