Mandate: Architect and deliver the cloud-native integration layer linking front-office OMS (Bloomberg AIM / CRIMS / Aladdin) to Finbourne LUSID position store, Snowflake analytics, and downstream middle- & back-office services.
Key Outcomes
- Deploy gRPC / REST APIs, Ratis consensus and Kafka streams to industrialise real-time trade, positions and reference-data flow.
- Stand-up AWS landing zone (S3, EKS, MQ) and migrate legacy Hadoop lake into a governed Snowflake estate.
- Chair Architecture Review Board; own vendor scoring, solution blueprints and design authority deliverables.
- Embed SOC-2 / ISO 27001 controls, automate MiFID II & BCBS 239 data-lineage.
- 30 FTE through agile release trains.
Essential Experience
- 10 + yrs solution architecture across buy-side OMS integrations (Bloomberg AIM, Charles River, Aladdin).
- Hands-on AWS (certified) plus Snowflake, Hadoop/Cloudera, Python/SQL.
- Proven design of event-driven, micro-service, API-first platforms at enterprise scale.
- Governance leadership: ARB/TDA chair, C-suite stakeholder management.
- Delivered regulated production cut-overs (SOC, FCA/PRA, MiFID II).
Desirable
- Finbourne LUSID implementation or strong willingness to ramp quickly.
- Exposure to multi-asset & alternatives (futures, swaps, private credit).
