Are you an experienced Buyer/Planner seeking your next challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re recruiting on behalf of Ion Beam Services, innovators in semiconductor ion implantation systems, known for their collaborative, high-performance culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
The Opportunity: Join Ion Beam Services’ Spares & Logistics team in Bathgate as a Buyer & Stock Planner. You will ensure timely availability of components and materials, manage inventory levels, and optimise costs—all while supporting customer orders and internal projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong supplier/customer relationships and onboard new partners.
- Manage end-to-end procurement—from RFQs to sourcing and stakeholder updates.
- Ensure product quality through collaboration with engineering and quality teams.
- Oversee imports/exports, including customs compliance and IPR procedures.
- Coordinate customer orders, source obsolete parts, and manage packing/logistics.
- Create part numbers and BOMs in SAGE, interpret technical drawings.
- Support stock control and goods-in/out process improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven buying/planning experience in a manufacturing/factory setting.
- Strong supplier account management and global customer interaction.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Sage and ERP experience preferred.
- Must have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
