The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are looking for several offshore crane technicians to join our client on a permanent basis, working in the offshore, ports and shipping and oil and gas industry, based from the UK, to work based from home on a flying-squad basis.

As part of the offshore crane technician position, you will receive full training, work in a variety of environments and on a huge range of equipment all over the world. The company supports the oil and gas industry and after winning new contracts globally, they are looking to expand massively over the next 12 months.

Ideally, you will be apprentice served in either Electrical engineering, Hydraulic engineering, or Mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out the commissioning, maintenance, inspection and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment, onshore and offshore.
  • Carry out repairs and inspection on a range of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Carry out fault finding and repairs of hydraulic and mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Assist with spares identification and procurement.
  • Produce clear factual documented reports.
  • Rigging and lift planning.
  • Comply with site HSEQ requirements.
  • Work safely with all site staff to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Minimise any environmental risks which may occur when undertaking the tasks required and ensure all available controls are utilised when offshore.
Skills and experience:
  • Working within the offshore/marine crane industry.
  • Commissioning and fault finding on electro-mechanical and/or hydro-mechanical systems.
  • Work on your own or within a team.
  • Work at heights.
  • An in-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance on offshore cranes.
  • BOSIET.
  • IT literate and be able to write reports.
  • Can read schematics and engineering drawings then translate this into practice.
  • Leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with marine engineering applications.

  • A full competitive wage while on retainer.
  • Daily per diem while deployed on a job (200 days on average).
