About the Role: We are looking for a solutions engineer to join our partnerships team. You will play a crucial role in driving strategic engagements with both solution implementation partners and product partners to drive Vercel’s growth. Working closely with partners managers, engineering teams, and product stakeholders you will enable partners on Vercel and Next.js best practices, implement partner integrations and solutions, and support partners on building best in class frontend applications for Vercel’s customers. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in building strong collaborative relationships with partners, ultimately driving exceptional user experiences for Vercel’s customers. The role requires a web development background, with a strong emphasis on frontend development, cloud infrastructure and networking, and modern application deployment methods. The ability to coordinate well and work with many partners across multiple time zones is crucial, as is building long-standing relationships with product champions, users, and executives. This is a remote position which preferences candidate location to be aligned with EMEA time zones.
What You Will Do:
- Serve as a subject matter expert to Vercel’s strategic partners, users, and prospects, offering expertise and guidance to support their goals.
- Lead strategic partner engagements and projects with partner managers from kick-off to post-launch support.
- Collaborate with Vercel engineering and product teams to ensure alignment between Vercel's product goals and the partner ecosystem.
- Create and present technical enablement to partners on the latest Next.js and Vercel features.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams and provide technical support to prospects and customers.
- Advise and support partner engineering teams on implementing and launching frontend applications on Vercel that follow best practices.
- Audit frontend applications on their performance, user experience, and web development best practices.
- Build POCs that integrate and showcase Vercel and its partner ecosystem.
About You:
- You are passionate about building first-class user experiences on the web.
- You have a strong understanding of web architecture, frontend development, and serverless computing.
- You have 3+ years of experience as a solutions engineer advising or consulting engineering teams.
- You have 5+ years of experience building and launching frontend applications using Next.js or React.
- You have a results-driven mindset and are experienced working in a fast-paced environment.
- You are comfortable working with remote, globally distributed cross-functional teams.
- You have excellent communication skills and experience building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
- You are experienced with technical evangelism from leading training sessions to delivering technical talks.
- You have experience driving the adoption of web technology or previous pre-sales experience.
- You are able to travel 20% of the time.
