Are you a qualified tax professional with a passion for VAT compliance and a knack for leveraging technology to improve processes? We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Manager to join our thriving London tax department.
What you will be doing:
- VAT Compliance: Take ownership of the VAT return calculation and preparation process, including quarterly Partial Exemption, Annual Adjustment, and CGS calculations.
- Documentation Management: Update and maintain VAT invoice logs and procedural documentation.
- Technology Implementation: Play a key role in using and implementing technology (e.g., Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI) to enhance VAT/Tax processes.
- HMRC Correspondence: Assist with correspondence and meetings with HM Revenue & Customs, including handling information requests and audits.
- Tax Support: Provide support to Directors and VPs on advisory transactions and special projects.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Address ad hoc questions from internal and external stakeholders.
- Direct Tax Compliance: Involvement in compliance computation cycles for Direct Taxes (Corporation tax, Bank Levy, and Group reporting).

Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- Essential: Qualified Tax professional (preferably CTA or ACA), trained with a reputable firm, within industry, or HMRC.
- Desirable: Additional relevant tax, accounting, or banking qualifications.
Experience:
- Essential: Working knowledge and experience of UK VAT compliance, advanced Excel skills.
- Desirable: Financial services experience, UK corporate tax knowledge.
Personal Competencies:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
