RM Teacher / Graphics Teacher / DT Teacher able to teach Woodwork (Woodwork Teacher) required for April 2025 start at a popular and well run secondary Academy in St Albans, Hertfordshire – paying MPS and UPS salaries on PAYE basis from day 1 Are you an enthusiastic Woodwork teacher looking to join a well respected and positive school in St Albans? Tradewind Recruitment are working alongside a popular school to source a Woodwork teacher to support with teach Woodwork and potentially support with other DT subjects. The successful Woodwork teacher will be joining a popular and well run department who support each other with shared planning and scaffolding, team meetings and a superb HOD. We are looking for Teachers with a passion for design and technology, and track record of delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire and motivate students. Key responsibilities:Full teaching responsibilities including planning differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all studentsMarking homework and assessments and tracking attainment in line with school policiesProvide regular feedback to students, parents and SLT Contribute to the wider life of the school and community by encouraging and supporting extracurricular activities and events where you’ve availability (not compulsory) Promote the values and school ethos of respect at all timesRequirements:A degree in Design Technology or Woodwork a related subjectQualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or recent experience of teaching a DT subject Knowledge of the UK curriculumStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work consistently on an independent basis as well as part of a team This is a full-time, permanent position, starting in April 2025.
