Spire Yale Hospital, Wrexham have an exciting opportunity for an experienced admin to join our Wards Team. Spire Yale Hospital is one of North Wales’ leading private hospitals and we take pride in delivering high-quality care. We offer fast access to consultations with specialists in a wide range of treatments, supported by advanced imaging and diagnostic technology.

Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 4 days a week. The hours are as follows: Monday 1pm-6:30pm and then 2:30pm-6:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. These hours may vary depending on ward activity.

Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time

As Ward Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward for patients, visitors and staff.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To greet and provide a customer focused, professional and effective service that exceeds expectations to all Patients, Consultants, and Visitors to the hospital.
  • To deal with all telephone enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • To give clear, concise information to all enquiries.
  • To liaise with Catering Department regarding orders for refreshments by patients and visitors.
  • To inform insurance companies if extended length of stay is required.
  • To keep insurance companies informed of emergency admissions.
  • Ensure that patient notes are up to date and in correct order and are taken to the appropriate place when a patient episode is complete.
  • Ensure that all filing of results and other information is accurately filed in the patient’s notes.

  • Previous relevant experience in an administrative support role.
  • Customer facing role.
  • Computer literate.
  • Adept at handling various calls on a daily basis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
