Job Title: 3rd Line Service Desk Engineer
Location: West Yorkshire – Office based with some occasional client visit when required

Overview
We are a progressive IT Managed Service Provider based in West Yorkshire seeking a 3rd Line Engineer to join our growing technical team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled and motivated engineer with a experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and cloud technologies.
You’ll be responsible for managing escalated incidents, delivering some projects, and maintaining the IT estate across over 300 client networks. This is a key technical role requiring deep expertise across a range of technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality 3rd line support for complex technical incidents escalated from the service desk.
- Deliver and support various infrastructure-related projects.
- Independently manage and deliver small-scale projects.
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance the infrastructure environments of multiple clients (300+ networks).

- Microsoft Windows Server (2008-2022/2025)
- Microsoft Exchange
- Active Directory Services
- Microsoft Office 365 (including SharePoint, Intune, and Entra)
- Microsoft Desktop OS (Windows 10/11)
- Terminal Services / Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
Virtualization & Cloud
- Hyper-V
- Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop
- Virtualization and virtual machine management
- Cloud platforms:
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Networking & Security
- Networking fundamentals: IP, WANs, LANs
- VLAN configuration and management
- Routing and switching
- Firewall configuration and troubleshooting
- Network security best practices
Storage & Scripting
- SAN/Storage management
- RAID configuration (RAID1, RAID5, RAID10, RAID50, etc.)
- PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks
Attributes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for learning and staying up to date with emerging technologies
