Role Overview:

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Stourbridge. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping our machinery and production equipment operating efficiently, with a strong emphasis on mechanical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of machinery including presses, conveyors, and other production equipment
  • Basic electrical fault-finding and minor repairs as needed
  • Mechanical work including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, welding, and general fabrication
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and attending to breakdowns
  • Supporting production operations by reducing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability

Requirements:

  • Time-served mechanical engineer
  • Background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems (advantageous)
  • Safety-conscious, proactive, and able to work independently
