As a Dental Practice Cleaner, you’ll play a key role in keeping our practice compliant, and offering our dentists and staff a safe, clean space to conduct treatments. You’ll set the highest standards for your team and our patients.

Key responsibilities and codes:

  • Cleaning of designated areas
  • Working to the cleaning standards of a dental practice
  • Following Health & Safety, COSHH and all relevant and new regulations
  • Maintaining full accurate cleaning records – daily, weekly, monthly, six monthly and annually
  • Understand and implement the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2007 and 2021 and the National Colour Coding Scheme
  • Working to Infection Control measures
  • Care of the cleaning equipment
  • Understanding and assurance of Personal Protective Equipment
  • Using and handling electrical equipment
  • Responsibility of lone worker policy and risk assessment
  • Waste management (not handling hazardous or sharp waste)
  • Carrying out any other reasonable management requests

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous cleaning experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of COSHH regulations is desirable
  • High attention to detail
  • Reliable with excellent timekeeping
  • Ability to work independently
  • Requirement to achieve client vetting clearance for the role
