W&A are supporting a well-established financial services organisation in the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner for a 6-12 month fixed-term contract. This role has come about due to increasing project demands and offers a great opportunity to contribute to high-profile transformation initiatives. This is a remote-first opportunity, with occasional in-person collaboration in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business partnering with programme and project teams
  • Supporting cost-related investment projects (primarily technology-focused)
  • Preparing and presenting monthly reporting and commentary
  • Performing threat and opportunity analysis
  • Conducting spend vs benefit analysis
  • Reviewing and signing off business cases
  • Representing finance at programme control boards

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone commercially-minded, confident working with stakeholders, and experienced in project-based finance roles. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in finance business partnering
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Confidence with business case review and benefit tracking
  • Prior exposure to change or transformation environments
