THE ROLE
We’re looking for a highly experienced Data & Migration Workstream Lead to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of all data-related activities across multiple complex projects and workstreams. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a unique blend of business analysis expertise, technical data migration knowledge, delivery, and stakeholder management.
You’ll be the single point of accountability for all data and migration matters—overseeing the development of data pipelines and reporting capabilities, while ensuring smooth, timely, and high-quality data migrations aligned with the overall project and programme goals.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Data & Migration workstream, ensuring alignment with overall programme plans, timelines, and dependencies.
- Oversee the development and implementation of robust data pipelines and reporting solutions to support the Client and MTL business and technical requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the data and migration workstream, liaising with Monument Technology Customers, technical teams, and other workstream leads.
- Collaborate closely with Client and MTL SMEs and technical teams to elicit, document, and validate data migration, scope and quality expectations, and reporting requirements.
- Establish strong governance for the workstream, including detailed planning and proactive management of Risks, Assumptions, Actions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAAID).
- Ensure successful delivery across all key phases of the migration lifecycle:
- Discovery – Analyse current and target state data environments.
- Design – Define the migration strategy, approach, and technical specs.
- Mapping – Support the process of identifying and validating source-to-target data mappings.
- Rehearsals – Lead the planning and support the execution of dress rehearsals.
- Cutover – Lead the live data migration, coordinating with all parties.
- Incident Management – Handle post-migration issues and escalations.
- Communication – Maintain clear, consistent updates to stakeholders.
WE LOOK FOR PEOPLE WITH
- Experience working with data mapping, data validation, data transformation and data migration is a must-have; ability to plan, track and manage these activities for data and systems, including processes, is crucial in this role.
- Strong understanding of data migration tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Extensive experience of migration of applications, systems, processes, and data in banks and/or building societies is essential.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with proven ability to coordinate technical delivery teams and cross-functional contributors.
- Skilled in data pipeline development and reporting implementation.
- Experience of data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Basic familiarity with cloud hosted online data platforms and tooling is desirable.
