We have been retained as exclusive recruitment partner for a business that has been operating and growing internationally since the 1980's. With over 40 years of experience and continuous development to partner with leading producers in the industry, the company has placed this business at the forefront of the leading distributors for Polymers and Chemicals across the globe.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join the team as a Sales Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for managing sales activities for the company's Polymers portfolio in the UK. You will play a critical role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who is looking to contribute significantly to the growth of this business and take their career in sales within the polymer industry to the next level.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting for new clients and development of existing clientele in UK & Ireland for Commodity Plastics Trading & Distribution.
- Develop and increase sales volumes of commodities such as Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC, PET, and PS.
- Management of trading operations.
- Develop and implement sales strategies for selected targets and pro-actively contribute to business development activities.
- Determine the conditions of purchase and sale of commodities for Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC, PET, and PS sold by the company.
- Monitoring and supervision of the logistical processing of sales and supply orders from suppliers with the help of the assistants team.
- Recovery of invoices related to the commercial transactions you deal with.
- Other tasks assigned to you by your manager.
Qualifications:
- Ideally, experienced in distribution sales of polymers in the UK Market.
- Technical and Commercial knowledge of products like Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC, PET, and PS would be advantageous.
- Experience of Purchasing Materials from European and Non-European Suppliers.
- Product management and strong supplier negotiation skills.
- Project management: experienced in managing business pipeline.
- Self-starting team player.
