A UK based manufacturing company are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree, HND or an equivalent Electrical engineering or Automation qualification
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with PLCs and CAD
- Good PLC, HMI & SCADA knowledge & experience – ideally Siemens (S7, TIA Portal) but others will be considered such as Allen Bradley
- Panel design experience ideally working with EPlan 8 or AutoCAD
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
The Controls Engineer role will involve:
- Designing & developing control systems for manufacturing equipment - working mainly with Siemens systems
- Developing electrical designs using Eplan software
- Ensure work complies with industry standards such as ATEX
- Liaising with customers & other departments to ensure requirements are being met
- Ensuring health & safety regulations are being adhered to
