Your Role: Reporting to the SVP of Events, the VP of Events will be part of the Group Marketing team and will oversee all internal and external events that fall under Marketing’s umbrella.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with SVP of events and Head of Marketing to define events strategy for the year, aligning with business development needs and objectives.
- Liaise with the senior team to build out the yearly events calendar for both internal and external events, and ways to communicate it more broadly.
- Work with the business to understand purpose and objectives of events, managing the relationship with senior stakeholders.
- Be creative in ways to reach target audiences to ensure better event attendance.
- Work with broader marketing team to align content strategies and plans with events calendar.
- Act as the direct manager to the Events Coordinator located in the London office.
- Oversee the delivery of in-house events held at the firm’s New York and London offices (client seminars, conferences, receptions, parties, client/prospect meetings).
- Work with the Events Coordinators to ensure appropriate catering and event staff is hired for each in-house event.
- Ensure that the Events Coordinator handles the distribution of invitations, monitoring responses, managing follow-ups and cancellations.
- Prepare supporting materials, with the assistance of the Events Coordinators, for internal and external events (literature packs, promotional merchandise, delegate lists, name badges, place names, table plans, etc.).
- Handle payment of invoices related to all events.
- Coordinate the supply and order of promotional goods from an approved list of suppliers.
About You: Proven event coordination experience, preferably in a professional services environment or a commercial conference organization. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing or related area preferred. Strong time and project management skills. Excellent communication skills. Able to manage and implement tasks related to role with a low level of supervision. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications and ability to learn new applications. Strong attention to detail. Aims to exceed expectations of high-quality service delivery in every task. Able to work collaboratively with others to provide a high-quality service.
