I am excited to partner with a leading brand who have a vacancy for a Shift Maintenance Engineer in their beautiful rural location of Bala, Gwynedd. The successful Shift Maintenance Engineer will work as part of a team and will be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance on site. Ex-military engineers with a multi-skilled background are encouraged to apply. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ex-military engineer to join a long established family run growing company. The role offers variety and autonomy with the opportunity to develop and gain additional skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the planned preventative maintenance of the engineering plant, machinery and building.
  • Attend breakdowns and carry out fault finding and diagnostics ensuring equipment is in working order.
  • Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, machines include conveyors, mixers and depositors.
  • Conduct improvement work on the machinery and site.

Requirements:

  • Hold Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Ideally you will hold 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • IT literate with knowledge of MS Office and maintenance management systems.
  • Ability to understand mechanical and electrical engineering diagrams.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.

Benefits:

  • Rotational 8-week shift pattern consisting of days and nights, 4 on 4 off.
