Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours / week

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a varied client portfolio and deliver high-quality accounting and tax services in a collaborative and supportive environment. The role:

  • Preparing accounts for a variety of clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
  • Preparing and reviewing personal and Corporation Tax Returns
  • Managing tax planning and income tax calculation
  • Assisting in cash flow forecasting and management account preparation
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff with training and on-the-job development
  • Liaising directly with clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships
  • Providing software training and support to clients using platforms such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero
  • Staying up to date with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry developments

About you:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a practice environment
  • AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified
  • Excellent knowledge of accountancy and taxation for various entity types
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage your own workload and deliver high standards under pressure
  • Experience with software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and CC
  • A team player who’s also confident working independently and liaising directly with clients
