We are a well-established and growing Law Firm operating in the legal and property sectors, based in vibrant East London. With a strong reputation for professionalism and client service, we are seeking a proactive and highly organised Part-Time Office Manager to support daily operations and ensure the smooth running of our office.
Role Overview:
The Legal Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the office. The ideal candidate will have experience within legal environments and/or estate agency operations, with the ability to manage administrative staff, maintain compliance, and assist with client and case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office operations, ensuring a well-organised, professional working environment
- Oversee administrative procedures and implement improvements as needed
- Liaise with solicitors, clients, agents, and suppliers professionally and efficiently
- Support with file management and ensure legal and property compliance standards are met
- Coordinate appointments, schedules, and meetings for legal and estate agency teams
- Maintain confidential records and legal documentation in line with GDPR and regulatory requirements
- Assist in onboarding new staff and overseeing staff schedules and performance where appropriate
- Manage petty cash, invoicing, and liaise with external accountants/bookkeepers
- Ensure health & safety, data protection, and general office policies are up-to-date and adhered to
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an Office Manager or similar administrative role
- Background in legal and/or estate agency environments is essential
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with CRM/legal management systems
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
Desirable:
- Knowledge of conveyancing, lettings, or legal casework administration
- Familiarity with legal practice management software (e.g. Leap, Clio) or estate agency CRM platforms
