Veracity is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of IP video surveillance solutions, including IP transmission systems, video storage, video wall display controllers, integrated security management software and cyber-secure technologies for complete 360° situational awareness.
As a result of continued growth, Veracity is looking to recruit a Digital Operations Apprentice to join their headquarters in Prestwick. In this role, you’ll work with both internal teams and external partners, using digital systems to manage the receipt and shipment of orders worldwide. While gaining hands-on experience, you’ll also be working towards achieving your SCQF Level 6 Diploma in Digital Applications Support.
Responsibilities:
- Daily use of Oracle NetSuite to an expert level for booking goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Engage with a bespoke bolt-on ERP tool for tasks such as generating commercial invoices and ensuring documentation is prepared in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Utilise UPS WorldShip to create shipments; coordinate with FedEx where required based on shipment method or customer preference.
- Process all inbound and outbound goods through the ERP system.
- Ensure all relevant documentation (certificates, invoices, export declarations) is completed accurately.
- Manage shipments across multiple regions, with awareness of import/export regulations.
- Ensure compliance for all international shipments, tailoring documentation based on the destination or customer need.
- First point of contact for internal staff who will receive orders via Outlook 365. Orders are then uploaded to Oracle Netsuite.
- Handle returns from customers by receiving, validating, and logging them appropriately in Oracle NetSuite.
- Act as the key point of contact for all goods-related queries from both UK and global Veracity employees.
- Collaborate with colleagues via Microsoft Teams and the shared Operations & Orders Outlook inbox, ensuring all stakeholders maintain visibility of the process.
- Monitor and manage communications across the team to resolve issues, confirm shipping details, and meet service expectations.
Salary: £18,200 per annum.
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
