Are you a skilled Research and Development Engineer within a manufacturing environment? Come be a part of this global manufacturing company at its market leading Hydraulic Valve Systems Europe division (HVSE). Join this expansive site as it implements future technology within valve products in both new creation and improvements on original technology across large international customers.
As a Research and Development Engineer at its HVSE hub, you will focus on developing advanced hydraulic cartridge valves and leading related R&D initiatives. Focusing on valve product improvement from both product design and process improvement in both new and already existing valve products.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Designing new valve products in both design and process, while improving existing ones
- Developing and optimising manufacturing processes for production improvements
- Reviewing product changes to ensure compliance with specs and drawings
- Collaborating with customers, production facilities, and quality teams
- Supporting shop floor operations in the absence of dedicated process engineers
- Working on both OE and occasional MRO projects, with a strong focus on new product development
Skills required:
- Experience in hydraulics, big emphasis on hydraulic cartridge valves and process previous experience
- Experience with an engineering background in either qualification or experience
- Previous experience with product development in a design and/or product background
- Behavioural traits in leadership and autonomy is a huge advantage for this position
- Background in hydraulic and/or pneumatic valve creation is a strong benefit to have
