We are a successful and growing technology business, based in Guildford and are currently seeking to recruit an Electronics Engineer. The ideal candidate would have a HND, HNC or OND in Electronics with 2 or more years of relevant work experience. The role includes programming and testing PCBs and systems incorporating FPGAs, micro-controllers, high‑speed digital interfaces and analogue circuitry. Applicants must be self‑motivated, keen to learn and show initiative to help scale up the company’s production capabilities. All work will be carried out in our ESD safe lab and workshop based in Guildford.

As a company who offer technical solutions to clients in a variety of sectors, including UK Government, the role will require the successful candidate to obtain UK Government security clearance and a background security before working on site.

What you will be doing:

  • Program and test PCBs and systems using in house software;
  • Complete assembly and test documentation;
  • Support electronic assembly including box build and cable harnesses;
  • Collaborate with development engineers delivering on technical tasks;
  • Work in an ESD (Electronic Static Discharge) safe environment (foot straps and wrist straps provided);
  • Checking in/out goods from our stores;
  • Other tasks to support the build, as required.

Requirements:

  • HND, HNC or OND in Electronics/Engineering;
  • Experience in programming and testing electronic systems using standard workshop tools is essential;
  • Experience of soldering components;
  • Keen to learn, use initiative and goal oriented and take on new production tasks;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Friendly and approachable;
  • Punctual and good time management;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word);
  • Able to commute reliably or relocate to Guildford, Surrey;
  • Full clean UK driving license.

It would be beneficial for a candidate to have:

  • Some experience with PCB design tools or CAD tools.
