Our client is a COMAH Chemical company that primarily focuses on the production of PVC and other chlorine-based products. Due to a pending retirement, they are now looking to recruit an experienced E&I Engineer.

You will manage all contractors onsite, and a team of 7 E&I Technicians and Apprentices.

Responsibilities:
  • Hands on high voltage authorised person role and manage HV for the entire site
  • Sign off all E&I work
  • Manage shut downs and contractors
  • Lead the planning and implementation of E/I maintenance activities on the assets.
  • Ensure both planned and breakdown activities are completed safely and effectively
  • Ensure that all E/I systems & equipment complies with legislative SHE standards and policies
  • Ensure all E/I engineering procedures fully comply with legislative and company standards.
  • Review all proposed changes to E/I equipment and/or procedures and authorise new methods to be used
  • Ensure E/I engineer roles are clearly defined and maintenance activities are fully delivered.
  • Statutory inspections are planned, implemented, recorded and any corrective actions are followed up to achieve compliance
  • Develop and implement the E/I engineering strategy that ensures the asset integrity and compliance with legislative and company standards
  • Ensure Capex projects are implemented and completed to the required SHE and E/I Engineering standard
  • Manage the auditing process for legislative authorisations and the implementation of any resulting actions.
  • Manage and monitor the E/I fixed cost budget within agreed targets and ensure costs are within the agreed spend targets, while managing and monitoring the budget to deliver within the targets.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Candidates will hold a Degree within Electrical or Instrument Engineering
  • Be a Chartered Engineer or willing to work towards this
  • Hold previous experience working within the Chemicals industry, ideally on a COMAH site
  • Hold 5-10 years post graduate experience
  • People management skills
