Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Senior Controls Engineer to join a rapidly growing Cheshire based systems integrator. As a Senior Controls Engineer you'll be working on a wide range of projects, including but not limited to factory automation, automated warehouses, marine applications, renewables or systems for metal processing plants.
Key aspects of the Senior Controls Engineer position include:
- Software design, including Software Design Specifications and production of software deliverables for PLC, HMI, SCADA, robots or variable speed drives.
- Mentor Controls Engineers with less experience, offering guidance and support.
- Role is hybrid, so when you're not working on customer sites the expectation is that you're in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and another day of your choice and the remaining two days are home based.
- Role won't involve extended periods on site. The company has a commissioning and installation team that picks up the heavy lifting in terms of site work. For example, the Senior Controls Engineer might expect to be on site for 2-3 weeks at the end of a job where they've been home and office based for 6 months.
- Electrical / controls concept design including Functional Design Specification, Safety Requirements Specification, Single Line Diagram, Network Topology, Device Layout, Cause & Effect Matrix, Safety Block Diagram etc.
