Salary: £12.50 - £13.50 per hour + sleep-in allowance

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (including weekends and night shifts on a rota basis)

Job Overview: We are currently recruiting for two Mental Health Support Workers to join a mental health-focused residential service based in Anstey (GL5). This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering full-time work and the chance to progress into a permanent role. You'll play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs in a safe and structured residential environment. The role involves both day and night shifts, so flexibility is essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to individuals with mental health conditions in a residential setting
  • Promote independence and emotional wellbeing through consistent, person-centred care
  • Assist with personal care, medication administration, and daily living activities
  • De-escalate challenging behaviours in a calm, professional manner
  • Maintain accurate care records in line with safeguarding and data protection protocols
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, attending staff briefings and following care plans

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential driving is required for this role)
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends and sleep-ins
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and pass enhanced DBS checks

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • We are looking for one male and one female candidate, or two female candidates
  • Candidates must live within commutable distance of Anstey or be willing to travel/relocate
