Archers Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Manufacturing Operatives for an established partner in Swindon. Our client is currently expanding following a period of doubled sales, which they envisage achieving again over the next 4 years. Having recently doubled their sq. ft. occupancy; it is a really exciting chapter for successful candidates to be a part of.
Responsibilities
- Read drawings and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
- Collect all material, tooling and equipment needed to assemble the product.
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications.
- Check output to ensure highest quality.
- Maintain equipment in good condition.
- Keep records of production quantities and time taken to complete assembly.
- Report on issues, malfunctioning or defective parts.
- Follow all company standards / procedures / work instructions relevant to the role.
Experience
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc. (Essential)
- Good understanding of quality control principles (Essential)
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) (Essential)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination. (Essential)
- Proven production operative experience as assembler. (Preferred)
- Ability in using tools (e.g. crimping) and machines (e.g. torque tool) (Essential)
- Previous Supervisory experience (Desirable not Essential)
