Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an experienced Accountant to join a dynamic finance team for a successful Accountancy firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software. The Accountant will have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and will have the opportunity to develop in a supportive environment. This role is 5 days a week onsite and may offer the opportunity of Temp to Perm. There will be hybrid opportunities.
Duties
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Manage financial accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, and Xero for efficient financial reporting.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accountants, fostering their professional development.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning initiatives.
- Conduct regular audits of financial processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
- Proven experience in financial services or a similar industry, with a focus on financial management and accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software including Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, and Xero.
