As the Lead Respiratory Physiologist at Cromwell Hospital, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering and developing our specialist respiratory diagnostic services. You’ll lead a high-performing team, ensure clinical excellence, and support the Centre Manager in driving service innovation and operational efficiency.

How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Lead the delivery of a wide range of respiratory and sleep diagnostics, including spirometry, lung function testing, CPET, and bronchial provocation studies.
- Supervise and develop a team of respiratory physiologists, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and continuous professional development.
- Oversee equipment calibration, stock control, and service scheduling to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Collaborate with consultants, clinical teams, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless patient journey from referral to results.
- Support governance, quality assurance, and service audits, ensuring compliance with CQC and hospital standards.
- Contribute to strategic planning, service development, and business case preparation to support future growth.
- Deputise for the Centre Manager and represent the department in multidisciplinary meetings and operational forums.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology or equivalent specialist training.
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience of working in a Clinical Respiratory Physiology Department.
- Registration with AHCS or equivalent; membership of ARTP or ERS desirable.
- Proven leadership and team supervision experience.
- Proficient in Office 365 and clinical systems; experience with private healthcare delivery is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Passionate about respiratory medicine and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
