DCS engineering are currently recruiting a detail oriented, methodical sheet metal worker on behalf of our market leading sub contract aerospace client. You will be involved in the manufacture of their core products for a variety of key civil and military clients. You'll perform a full range of sheet metal operation in line with standard operating procedures, whilst working to the relevant quality standards. You must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, follow in house routing/processes ensuring that the correct calibrated equipment is used.
Essential requirements:
- Aerospace sheet metal experience - vast majority of which is thin gauge aluminium.
- Time served sheet metal worker with a solid engineering background.
- Ability to read / understand engineering drawing and bills of material.
- Attention to detail producing high quality, close tolerance, self-inspected components.
- Experience of key processes: rubber press, hand form, profiling parts after form and wheeling.
